The IMS Productivity Analyst (formerly the IMS Certificate) is a professional qualification for people who are serious about improving productivity. Scott-Grant is the principal approved training provider for the Institute of Management Services.
We offer a four week modular course that’s exciting, challenging, flexible and practical.
Those who are serious about improving productivity should study for the professional qualification offered by the Institute of Management Services (IMS) and become a qualified IMS Productivity Analyst.
For many decades this professional qualification has been known simply as the ‘IMS Certificate’. To illustrate more clearly that the course content is focused on improving productivity, it has been re-named the IMS Productivity Analyst. It will continue to be the industry standard for productivity professionals and an international qualification that is held in high regard across all business sectors.
An employer’s perspective
Scott-Grant is the principal training provider for the IMS Productivity Analyst course. We offer…
The four week IMS Productivity Analyst course consists of Modules 1, 2, 3 and 4 (each taking 5 days). You can attend any of these, except any of the Module 2 options, without committing to the full IMS Productivity Analyst qualification. Module 1 should be completed before any Module 2 option, preferably on consecutive weeks.
Each of the four modules is subject to continuous instructor assessment and has an examination. At the end of the final week, Module 4, an exam on all four modules’ content is included so we recommend you try to minimise the time between starting and finishing the four week course.
There are now THREE options for Module 2, now re-named to be IMS Measurement Practitioner. Click here for details.
Membership of the Institute of Management Services
If you study for the IMS qualifications you must first join the Institute of Management Services (IMS). There are four grades of membership: Affiliate, Associate, Member and Fellow. Each of these is subject to a fee paid to the IMS and varying entry requirements which can be found here.
If you take the examinations leading to the IMS Measurement Practitioner qualification (modules 1 & 2) in either Time Study, Activity Sampling or MOST® or to the full IMS Productivity Analyst qualification you must join the Institute of Management Services (IMS). This will be as an Affiliate member, which is valid for 5 years and is £235. We will arrange this for you and include it on your invoice.
When you complete all four modules of the course there is a necessary final certification and upgrade fee of £275. This fee will also confer Life membership of the IMS and an upgrade to Associate grade membership, entitling you to use the designatory letters AMS.
After 2 years as an AMS with Life Membership you can apply to upgrade to Member (designatory letters MMS), subject to appropriate fees, experience and continuing professional development (CPD) certification.
We will arrange appropriate membership for you and include it on your invoice.
