IMS Measurement Practitioner using Time Study, IMS Module 2a
This course requires IMS membership and should be taken only after Module 1 Productivity Foundation .This is a week of intense Time Study practical work leading to an external examination; the course involves arithmetical calculations and requires numeracy and logic.
Time Study is the original technique of work measurement, simple in concept though it does require a high degree of concentration and expertise on the part of the observer. Time Study is principally used for the measurement of repetitive work, usually with a single subject studied. In other words, work that follows a defined pattern and method.
Successful delegates who have attended Modules 1 and 2a are awarded the industry standard IMS Measurement Practitioner certificate (formerly the Time Study Practical). They also receive a Scott-Grant Performance Rating card, which is valid for one year; it can be re-certified through a Scott-Grant Performance Rating Clinic.
