The IMS Certificate is a professional qualification for people who are serious about improving productivity. Scott-Grant are widely acknowledged as the best training provider for this widely acknowledged Certificate course.
We offer a four week modular course that’s exciting, challenging, flexible and practical.

How the IMS Certificate modules work

The IMS Certificate course – the industry standard for productivity professionals across all sectors – consists of Modules 1,2,3 and 4 (each taking 5 days).
You can attend any of these, except Module 2a, without committing to the Certificate qualification. You can take the courses in any order, provided Module 1 is completed before Module 2a, preferably on consecutive weeks.
Each module is subject to continuous instructor assessment and has an examination on day 5. The final module includes an exam on all 4 modules so ideally try to minimise the time between starting and finishing the Certificate.
Membership of the Institute of Management Services
If you study for the full IMS Certificate you must first join the Institute of Management Services (IMS). There are four grades of membership: Affiliate, Associate, Member and Fellow. Each of these is subject to a fee paid to the IMS and varying entry requirements which can be found here.
In relation to taking the Certificate course with Scott-Grant, when you book Modules 1 and 2a you will be charged an additional £235 to cover the IMS cost of becoming an Affiliate member (valid for 5 years). By successfully completing Modules 1 and 2a you will become a qualified work measurement practitioner and attain the IMS Time Study Practical (TSP) certificate.
When you complete all four modules of the Certificate there is a final examination fee of £235 payable. This fee will confer Life membership of the IMS and an upgrade to Associate Member, entitling you to use the designatory letters AMS.
After 2 years as an AMS you can apply to upgrade to Member (designatory letters MMS), subject to appropriate fees and experience.
We will arrange appropriate membership for you and include it on your invoice.
