What is Rated Activity Sampling?
Rated Activity Sampling is when Performance Rating is applied to observations.
The British Standard (BS) definition of Rated Activity Sampling is as follows:
“Rated Activity Sampling is an extension of Activity Sampling in which each observation is rated. You can then either calculate an overall rated performance across the sample, or you can develop a standard time, knowing the number of units that were processed or produced under observation.” BS3138: 22057
Done properly, Activity Sampling and Rated Activity Sampling are excellent techniques.
